7th Annual New Play Festival
Interested in participating in the 7th Annual 24-Hour New Play Festival as an Actor, Writer or Director? Registration Day starts at 5PM at the Bangor Arts Exchange on Friday, September 21.
Registration is $10 per participant and can be paid in advance online or in person on 9/21.
This year’s event will take place at the Bangor Arts Exchange beginning on the evening of Friday, September 21 and culminate in performances on Saturday, September 22. Previous performance experience is not required, but an appreciation of theater and a desire for adventure are!
Hours are subject to adjustment, but estimated times are 6-9:30PM Friday and 10 am-9 pm Saturday. If you are not able to be there for the whole time, there are still opportunities for you to participate (see below).

Join us Saturday, September 22 as Ten Bucks Theatre Company and Launchpad present a series of all new 10-minute plays, all written, rehearsed and performed in 24 hours.
Going into its 7th year, the festival draws participants of all experience levels and ages from all over Eastern and Central Maine. Experience the event the Maine Edge calls “a welcome addition to the area’s cultural calendar, one that has become a worthwhile and beloved creative tradition!”
And this year, the audience favorite will be selected to perform their play at the Kickoff of ARTober on Friday, October 5!
*Online sales for tickets to the festival performances end at 3PM on 9/22/18. Tickets available at the door unless “Sold Out” annoucement is made. Tickets at the door will be sold as capacity allows even after a sell out. This event is all ages.
