Nathan Roach is
pleased to be among the incredibly talented members of Ten Bucks Theatre,
having first acted in their production of Romeo and Juliet (Benvolio), and then
The Crucible (John Proctor), Epic Proportions (Jack, Gladiator, etc.) and
Hamlet (Laertes). More recent Ten Bucks shows include The Nerd (Rick
Steadman), The Importance of Being Earnest (Algernon), and A Midsummer Night’s
Dream (Oberon). Nathan got his start acting in the area with the Bangor Rotary
Club’s “Music Off Broadway” music revue in 2007 and has been in nine of the
annual productions since. He’s worked with the Grand Players of Ellsworth,
starring in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Schroeder). Nathan was thrilled
to be in the premier production of West Side Story (Big Deal) at Husson’s new
Gracie Theatre in 2009. He has traveled to Belfast for productions with
Midcoast Actors’ Studio, including Shooting Star (Reed McAllister) and The
Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (Aslan) in 2017.
Nathan sings with the
Black Bear Men’s Chorus at the University of Maine and plays percussion with
the Sebasticook Valley Community Band. He works at Nokomis Regional High School
in Newport, where he plays the roles of Ed. Tech III, Tutor, Soccer Coach, and
occasional play-by-play announcer for Nokomis Warrior Broadcasting. He
occasionally joins talented Nokomis drama students for improv sessions and did
fight choreography for productions including The Servant of Two Masters (2012)
and Taming of the Shrew (2016). He also works occasionally as a teaching artist
for Penobscot Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Schools program.
